15 Weeks

Mira is 15 weeks old today! And my summer vacation has started as of last Friday! It makes me feel like I'm back in highschool again, it's the same feeling I got when school got out every spring.

Still going strong with breastfeeding. It's definitely a love/hate relationship, though. Love because it's a special bond I get with Mira, it's more nutritious, it's obviously the cheaper route than formula, and because I burn lots of calories while doing it, but mostly because of the special bond I get with Mira. Hate because I have to pump while I'm at work, pumping sucks in general (like I've said before; like a boob vacuum), and if I go out somewhere, I can only enjoy a couple hours at a time before I have to go excuse myself to pump. Real bummer when you're at a wedding dance or bachelorette party and you have to go home or to your car and pump every 2.5 hours. If I didn't need to do that part, breastfeeding would be perfect. I know that when Mira does wean, though, I will definitely miss it.

Father's Day. Adam had the whole day off, so we started off the day by going to brunch and the bloody mary bar. It was perfect. We then had plans to go to the beach because it was such a nice morning. Once we actually got to the beach, it wasn't longer than 2 minutes and it started to get extremely windy and rain. We then had to head home, bummer. It was pouring for a little while, and once we got home, it stopped. It then got nice again, of course. We then decided to grill, so we went out and got burgers and brats. I started to chop up potatoes to throw on and once Adam was about to start the grill, it started getting cloudy and thundering and lightning. THAT plan was ruined too. We then threw everything in the oven, problem solved. Basically the weather doesn't like us.

Nothing was gonna stop us from enjoying a couple of Angry Orchards afterwards, though. Yum!

3 months/13 weeks

Happy 3 months Mira!

Our little muffin is becoming even more fun. She's smiling bigger and laughing more, we do all kinds of crazy, dorky things to make her laugh.

Mira got to meet a bunch of great aunts, great uncles, and great grandma last weekend at Adam's brother's high school grad reception. Basically, she cried when anyone else held her. She is just a mama and daddy's girl.
We are heading to the lake/Karlstad this weekend. We have a wedding in Karlstad, but we're going to spend the weekend at my parent's new cabin on Maple Lake. Hopefully it's nice out!

New Mira favorites:
• Her blankie over her face. When she's alert, she giggles and kicks uncontrollably and when she's sleepy she likes it on her face to soothe her.
• Watching tv. I love coming home to Mira sitting on Caitlin's lap just staring at the tv all content. It's really the only thing (besides sleeping) that keeps her calm. Otherwise, she is constantly kicking or squirming around.
• The Baby K'tan. I've been forgetting to use this for a while, but now that I finally used it I'm so happy. I'm able to do chores around the house without her fussing for attention. I think she's really comfy in it, too.

Stats:
Weight: TBA
Feeding: Exclusively breastfed, besides the 3 bottles from the frozen breastmilk supply she has during the day while I'm at work. She will drink between 3 and 3.5 oz. each time, and now nanny Caitlin thinks she will need closer to 4 oz.
Clothes size: Still 0-3 months and 3 months. She's growing out of some of these and starting to get into 3-6 months (though a little big).
Development: Rolling over (both back to front and front to back), smiling, laughing, grasping, oh and drooling. One cute thing we love is when she clasps her hands together and usually holds them closer her face. She also watches us like a hawk when we walk away from her. When we take her outside, her head goes at a million miles an hour looking around at all the stuff going on. She is one curious girl.
Me: Once I went back to work I quickly figured out that I can't do it all. I have to choose between working out or cleaning the house, between cooking a nice dinner or running errands, etc. One thing I can always sneak in is laundry. Putting it away is another story, though.
Adam: I don't see as much of him these days. Work, work, work. We really need a date night or something soon.
