I believe in doing things to enrich our lives and to make things easier. Anything that saves time is worth it in my book. Sometimes it's nice to not have to go scrounging around for a bunch of things and have it all one ONE PLACE! Plus, it's fun to try new things!
The news
Sometimes we just want to hear about the top news of the day without having to click through a bunch of articles from a bunch of sites and have to deal with ads and slow site loading times. The Skimm is the best thing I've discovered in the news world. All you do is subscribe with your email and you get the daily news skimmed to your inbox. It takes all of 5 minutes to read through everything. You can choose to click the sources and read entire articles, but don't have to. It's like the cliff notes of news. Big time saver!
Bills
Having to plan ahead when it comes to bills is not my strong suit. And when you have a boat load of different bills from different places that get taken out at different times, it's nice to have a tool that can plan it out for you. Mint is my handy dandy financial planner. There's a desktop version and of course an app. You add in your bank accounts and then connect to all accounts you have bills in; electric, loans, car insurance, etc. You fill in the date that everything is due and your cash flow is calculated. You also get reminders about when due dates are approaching. I recently found this and was so excited!
Makeup
Birchbox! I've been riding the birchbox train for almost 3 years, so it's safe to say it's pretty bomb. You get 5 samples of beauty products every month and they're based on your beauty profile that you fill out. In my opinion, it's mostly new and up and coming products or brands. Everything I've ever received has been high quality and usually pretty high end. You get so much bang for your buck when it only costs $10 a month. Sometimes you'll look at the full size pricing of a sample and it'll be $70! So worth it, especially if you don't have time to shop around for beauty products.
Music
I know a lot of people have Google Music, but why not join Spotify instead? Spotify is FREE and essentially the same thing. There's a desktop and app version. Unfortunately there are ads, but luckily not as many as pandora. You get to make as many playlists as you want and add whatever songs you choose. All free. I know it's really popular but I thought I'd share in case anyone hasn't joined yet!
Food
Snack box subscriptions! I've got two: Love With Food and Graze. Love With Food has mixed brands, often things you can find in grocery stores. Graze is its own unique brand, but my gosh, the snacks are so delicious (the flapjacks and shortbread dippers are my favorite!). Both of these companies focus on healthy snacks with high quality ingredients. I recommend getting the box delivered to your work so you don't mosey on over to the vending machines! Sign up for Graze with referral code VZFR2PCQP and receive your first box free!

I do Ipsy right now but i've heard great things about birchbox too!
ReplyDeleteI tried ipsy before, too! I liked it, although birchbox samples are more specific to you since you fill out a detailed beauty profile. I heard popsugar is a fun one too!
DeleteI've been dying to try Birchbox! It looks awesome!
